The mission of Hope For The Hungry is to "Share the Bread of Life with a Starving World". God has called us to serve people who suffer from hunger that is both spiritual and physical. According to scriptural mandate, we offer food for the body and salvation for the spirit to those who do not know Jesus Christ and will suffer eternal death without Him.

Friday- Finishing Memories

Our last day in Haiti was such an exciting one! We did lots of things and had tons of fun with the girls.

First we woke up and headed into Cap- Haitien to go souvenir shopping. When we finished, we went to a restauran for lunch. It took way longer than expected, but was tasty.

After our drive back, the girls were all lined up in the driveway with their bags, cause we were going to the beach!! Because our lunch took so long, the girls were more than ready because they'd been waiting for us to get there.  The beach is a special treat for the girls because even though they live close to the beach, they only go once a year.

So, we headed to the same beach we went to last year. When we pulled up, there were people everywhere. Two busses were parked and all of the passengers were letting loose on the beach. Since we had a bunch of little and big girls, we had to make the call of leaving because they didn't need to be around all the crazy that was happening on the beach. Luckily we found another beach a little down the road and were able to swim there. It was a little placed tucked away at Fort Liberty, so we had the whole thing to ourselves! The girls had SO much fun! Several were a lot more daring than last year, venturing out a little further than waist deep. Most of them were still pretty timid, so we got to hold lots of hands!

After we got home from the beach, we passed out the new shoes and backpacks for the upcoming year. All of the girls were so thankful and excited to receive the new and shiny gifts.

The rest of the evening was spend getting last minute pictures and hugs. At the end of the night, we brought out glow in the dark balloons and the girls went crazy! Especially Thaina... our littlest one. It was the perfect way to end the week.

As we sit here in the Cap Haitien airport, we want to say thank you for your prayers. We really couldn't have gotten through this week without faithful supporters like you guys.

Please pray for safe travels today. Pray that we make all of our flights on time and that we arrive home as expected. Also, pray for us over the next few weeks as we continue to process all the Lord has done this week.
