The mission of Hope For The Hungry is to "Share the Bread of Life with a Starving World". God has called us to serve people who suffer from hunger that is both spiritual and physical. According to scriptural mandate, we offer food for the body and salvation for the spirit to those who do not know Jesus Christ and will suffer eternal death without Him.

Day 2 - A Day of Worship & Rest

"This is the day the Lord has made. Rejoice and be glad in it!". We had a wonderful morning in worship with our Haitian brothers and sisters. Although most of the service was in Creole and we could not understand the words, the presence of The Lord was evident and God was glorified.

This afternoon has been a wonderful time of rest and preparation for the week. We have enjoyed tremendous fellowship with Pastor JeanAlix and his family. We are ready to begin construction on a new depot (storage shed) tomorrow. Once the depot is complete, all the food and construction items used at The Boy's home, school, and surrounding community will have a new "home". This will free up at least two rooms for future classroom expansion at the school.

We are excited about what the Lord has in store for us. Pray that God works beyond our language barrier. Pray that the construction goes well and that all the needed materials are readily available.
